I apologize that your order was not delivered on the promised due dateand for the difficulties you've experienced trying to reach us. As youmay have read in your local newspapers we are having an industrialdispute that involves both administrative staff and employees on theshop floor. The result has been a hold up in production over the pastfew weeks.

The dispute is now settled and we are back to normal production. Wehave a backlog of orders to catch up on, but we are using associatesof ours to help us fulfill all outstanding commitments. Your order hasbeen given priority and the dynamos should be delivered before the endof this week.

Your contract with us does have a standard clause stating thatdelivery dates would be met unless unforeseen circumstances arose. Wethink you will agree that a dispute is an exceptional circumstance.However, we understand your problem and will allow you to cancel yourcontract if it will help you to meet your commitments with your Greekcustomers. But we will not accept any responsibility for actions theymay take against you.

Once again let me say how much I regret the inconvenience this delayhas caused, and emphasize that it was due to factors we could not haveknown about when we accepted your delivery dates.
